On Wednesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued a stern warning to anyone considering disrupting peace during the upcoming festivals, stating that the jail awaits such individuals. He specifically targeted the Samajwadi Party, criticizing its past governance for allegedly succumbing to rioters and criminals, which he claimed led to festivals being marred by violence and chaos.

While addressing a kitchen gas subsidy distribution event under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, he emphasized that the BJP government has restored peace over the past eight and a half years, allowing festivals from Diwali to Eid and Christmas to be celebrated peacefully. He remarked, "If anyone dares to disturb the peace during the festivals, they will find themselves behind bars. We will not hesitate to take action, regardless of who they are."
He further stated that under the BJP's rule, those who threaten women or disrupt peace will face immediate consequences.

Pointing to the Mulayam Singh Yadav family, the Chief Minister remarked that prior to 2017, the government could not think beyond one family, leading to riots during festivals. He noted that goons roamed freely, depriving the poor of welfare schemes, while Samajwadi Party leaders, including the Chief Minister, bowed to mafias and rioters.
Adityanath asserted that the BJP's 'double-engine government' has transformed the state by treating it as one family. He stated, "We have eliminated nepotism and introduced a governance model that does not inquire about caste, religion, or creed before providing benefits." He also mentioned that in 2021, the state government decided to provide free cooking gas cylinders to beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme twice a year, during Holi and Diwali.
Reiterating his commitment to law and order, he warned that anyone attempting to create disturbances during festivals would be imprisoned. He concluded by stating that those who threaten women or disrupt peace under BJP governance will face immediate repercussions, with 'Yamraj' waiting for them at the next intersection.
Yogi Adityanath reaffirmed his government's dedication to ensuring safety and justice for all sections of society.
